One of the things I absolutely enjoy is painting environmental still-lifes. When the Yuccas bloom in early summer, in Sedona, I am always compelled to drag pieces from my Native American collection to the yard and paint them. I love the quality of the natural sunlight on objects you would normally see indoors and, often, behind glass. These handcrafted, centuries old treasures and objects seem more at home in nature, to me.
