This view comes from west of Sedona, at the edge of the red rocks near Loy Butte. The old farming character of Sedona is mostly gone now, but it lives on in this quiet and isolated cottonwood tree at an old cattle pond, Juniper Tank. I feel this painting falls into the category of nostalgia and looking back to simpler times, as this watering hole is now dry. I have made it a mission throughout my career to document things that will be changed in the future by progress and population growth.
