The Elegance of Resilient Adaptation
Here at the precipice of the abyss, air twists around in the turbulence by Grand Canyon’s topography. Because of winds and harsh seasonal elements, this ancient Juniper’s survival mechanisms caused it to grow in an elegant corkscrew shape. Surviving in poor rocky soil, this tree developed deep taproots for moisture. Nature’s gift is gnarled adaptation allowing endurance. Recently, under severe drought it has begun to sacrifice limbs, self-pruning to manage moisture. This painting is a story of beautiful adaptation and resilience.
