Burning Fields- Camp Verde
|Dimensions||16 × 16 in|
Common years ago and somewhat nowadays, the farmers will burn the ditch banks in the early spring. I just happened by to catch this view and stopped to paint this old farm along the Verde River in Camp Verde, Arizona. It reminded me of my youth in La Plata, New Mexico when my Father would send me out each spring with a butane tank and torch to burn the weeds along the irrigation ditches. I feel lucky to have caught this moment in paint, this farm is now the largest RV park in the state of Arizona.
