At Elves Chasm, River Mile 116, I painted the scene surrounded by an enormous amphitheater carved into the Redwall Limestone of the Apache Terrace, awash with orange and red reflected light. The central towering monolith of Muav Limestone sat like a proud monarch against the crimson backdrop.
