Over the years, this chapel has appeared in several of my paintings. I enjoy the unique melding of traditional architecture with a uniquely Flagstaff approach; utilizing local stone, the bell tower and accents are rendered in pink. It seems to epitomize a territorial character. This painting was started catty-cornered from the church. To take advantage of the light coming from the window of the APS office there, I nestled into the bushes. My evening of painting shockingly ended at midnight, when the lights on the church and the office building both turned off and the water sprinklers came on!199
