Announcing a major upcoming exhibition celebrating the career of one of the nation’s most revered plein air masters!
“Curt Walters: A Lifetime of Art,” presented by the Fine Art Museum of Sedona (FAMoS), will open to the public this fall, running from September 4 through October 28, 2026.
This landmark retrospective offers an unprecedented look at a stunning collection of Walters’ oil paintings, spanning decades of dedication to capturing the transcendent beauty of Sedona and the Grand Canyon.

Satellite Show: Impressions of Sedona 1980 – 2000
In tandem with the main museum exhibition, the Sedona Heritage Museum will host a special satellite show that bridges art and local history.
Where: 735 Jordan Rd.
The Details: For over forty years, Curt Walters has documented the changing face of Sedona, the Verde Valley, and northern Arizona. This unique display pairs Curt’s historic plein air paintings with modern-day photographs of the exact locations, complete with written contextual commentary by Curt himself.

Art enthusiasts looking for a deeper dive into Walters’ work have incredible opportunities to connect through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Yavapai College:
Four-Session Class: Danielle Gervasio (Art History, MA) will teach “Curt Walters’ Art: Grand Canyon and Sedona Paintings.” A few seats are still available for this exclusive course.
Exclusive Book Signing & Public Talk: Curt will be hosting an intimate public talk and book signing focusing on Resilience… and the specific works on display at the FAMoS show.
