This view is from a few miles south of Cameron, where the old trading post stands near the east side of Grand Canyon. In this painting I was looking east toward the great landscape of the Navajo Nation and the valley of the Little Colorado River. The immensity and intensity of the sky in this part of the world has always fascinated me. The clouds are always reflective of the red and yellow earth below.
