This painting holds a special place for me, as it was one of the first paintings of mine to be seen at The National Cowboy Museum’s Prix de West. The title is derived from the fact that while I was painting this scene, on location, the warming of the day caused the snow in the trees to melt, and continually drip down my back. I am glad I persisted through the discomfort, and completed the painting.
