As a guide using my 8×6 inch canvas from this experience I began a 28×22 in the studio. The color from this field study was my guide. I used a classic composition to begin my drawing and started with the sky. I added a mid-ground and foreground. I am incredibly pleased with this painting. It reflects my personal mood about the world pandemic and the mood of the American people at in a crisis’s crossroads.  Smoke filled sunless days have joy if we are patient.
