The Northern Oregon Coast Range is amazingly beautiful. While painting in Astoria, Oregon, I  painted this vista plein air of the Youngs River, just up river from Youngs Bay. Youngs River is a tributary of the great Columbia River, a major drainage in the extreme northwest corner of state. Green and lush, painting in the Northwest is always a nice change from the warm arid climate of Arizona.
