The mileage for the Colorado River starts at Glen Canyon Dam. You must boat up-river from Lee’s Ferry to discover this magical landscape of monoliths and slickrock that has been created through millennia of erosion by the Colorado River. While my friends spent their time in some of the best trout fishing waters in the nation, I, of course, spent my time painting.
