Curt is gearing up for this year's Critically Acclaimed Prix de West Show and Sale at the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. The first of his entries into this year's show is "New Garden Hollyhocks" painted in Curt's own backyard during the summer of 2009.

American Masters at Salmagundi Club

May 5-16, 2010

Master landscape artist Curt Walters of Sedona, Arizona, will be a part of the third annual American Masters Fine Art Show & Sale held at the exclusive Salmagundi Club in New York City May 5 - 16, 2010.

Walters will be in attendance, displaying two new pieces in the show, which benefits The Salmagundi Club.

Dames Who Make a Difference Presents...

Sedona Creative Life Center will host Curt as he gives a talk to the Sedona Community group, Dames Who Make a Diffrence on Wednesday, March 10th.

Gathering of Friends at Grand Canyon

September 21-24, 2009

"The Greatest Living Grand Canyon Artist," Curt Walters, will host a special four-day gathering of friends and fellow artists "on the rim" September 21-24.

This rare opportunity to meet and paint with one of America's most critically-acclaimed artists is opened to the public as a special workshop with the Scottsdale Art School.

Walters is overjoyed to carry on with this time-honored tradition, as Master Landscape Artists have gathered in our National Parks for generations, passing tips and tricks on to the "new crowd."

Walters' medium is oil, and intermediate to advanced level painters with some plein aire experience are encouraged; fledgling artists may find these sessions too strenuous. Light hiking is required.

One Man Show at The Eiteljorg Museum

'Master Painter' Curt Walters, of Sedona, Arizona, will have a one man show at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, in Indianapolis, Indiana, set to begin August 19, 2009. "Monuments & Moments: The Plein Air and Studio Paintings of Curt Walters" will be curated by James Nottage, Chief Curator of the Eiteljorg Museum.

"Monuments & Moments" will feature many of the artist's signature Grand Canyon and Southwestern-themed paintings, as well as works from his travels to Canada, Jordan, Bali, and a number of European cities.

This incredible honor was given as part of the Artist of Distinction Award at the 2008 Quest for the West Art Show. The Walters one man show will include fifty pieces culled from the past two decades of his thirty five year career. The works in the show will be loaned to the Eiteljorg Museum from many other prominent museums, and also from public and private collections.

Salmagundi Club Show and Sale

Celebrated landscape painter Curt Walters of Sedona, Arizona, will be participate in the second annual American Masters fine art show and sale held at The Salmagundi Club in New York City, tonight, May 2nd, 2009.

Founded in 1871, The Salmagundi Club is one of America's oldest art organizations. Their Fifth Avenue brownstone was purchased in 1917, where The Club is still located today. The members participate in a number of activities, including exhibitions by members and non-members alike, lectures and debates, and special fund raising events.

This year's paintings for display and purchase are Cloud Shadows at Play and Rooftops of Blois.
